Bushcraft new headerBush Craft Workshops are coming to Godstone Farm this May Half Term.

Have you have ever fancied trying your hand at Fire Lighting, Campfire Cooking or Spoon Carving?  If so you are in for a real treat!

We are so excited to be joined by the awesome team at Big Hat Bushcamp who will be transforming the woods into our very own bushcraft wonderland with three fantastic workshops to choose from between Monday and Friday of May Half Term to get your teeth stuck into and learn something new!

Fire Lighting – This hugely popular 30 minute workshop will have you lighting your campfire completely matchless, using firesteels and tinder.

Camp Fire Cooking - This thoroughly enjoyable 30 minute workshop will have you getting stuck in mixing up bread dough and cooking over an open camp fire.

Spoon Carving - An hour long session bursting with creativity learning to carve a spoon from a block of wood.  During the course you will start carving then take your spoon home to carve away to your hearts content.

Online tickets are available until 23.59pm the day before.  Same day online booking is not available.

  • Minimum Age 4 years
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • One adult can supervise up to a maximum of 3 children, additional children will require additional adults.
  • Bush Craft Workshops are an additional fee, participants must also have a farm entry ticket to take part.
  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your start time – Due to the nature of the workshops all participants must be present for a health and safety briefing at  the start of the workshop therefore late comers will not be permitted and refunds will not be authorised.
  • Before the workshop all supervising adults will be required to read and sign our Bush Craft Terms on behalf of themselves and everyone within their care.

Full Terms and Conditions

  • Minimum Age 4 years.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • One adult can supervise up to a maximum of 3 children, additional children will require additional adults.
  • Bushcraft Workshops are an add on activity to the farm’s regular activities and requires an additional fee to the farm regular entrance price.  Your farm fee allows full access to the farm for the whole day. Your workshop fee allows participation in your chosen workshop.  You must have a farm entry ticket in addition to a workshop ticket to participate in your chosen workshop.
  • Annual Pass Holders with workshop tickets will be required to show their valid annual pass as normal to gain access to the farm, visitors with an out of date annual passes on the day of the workshop will be charged full entry fee’s.
  • Workshops fees are per person.
  • Workshop advanced bookings are available on the farms website, advance online booking workshop tickets are 20% off.  Advance tickets are available to book until 23.59 the day before the booking date.
  • On the day bookings are full price, are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, farm entry fees will not be refunded should workshops be fully booked, please call in advance for information.
  • Cancellations can be made up to 7 days prior to the workshop date and will be refunded in full. Cancellations within 7 days or non attendance are non refundable.
  • All participants must arrive 10 minutes prior to the workshop start time. Due to the nature of the workshops all participants must be present for a health and safety briefing at  the start of the workshop therefore late comers will not be permitted and refunds will not be authorised.  Latecomers will be re-scheduled onto a later workshop if available, due to the popularity of the workshops this is not guaranteed.
  • The supervising adult must sign and agree to the Bush Craft Terms prior to the start of the workshop. Terms are available to read online before booking the workshop.  Participants not wishing to sign the terms will not be permitted to join the workshop and no refunds will be authorised.
  • Handwashing before and after the workshop is compulsory.
  • For the protection of Godstone Farm visitors, the carrying and use of personal knives will not be permitted. Personal knives will be confiscated by the Godstone Farm Management and can be collected at the end of the day.
  • Workshops are accessible to wheelchair users however please be aware the activity is taking place inside the woodland area where paths are uneven with raised roots in places. On booking a workshop ticket for a wheelchair user please email us on havefun@godstonefarm.co.uk to ensure we have additional equipment in place to help with firelighting which normally takes place on the ground.  The course leaders will endeavour to ensure full participation but please note this may not always be possible with visitors with individual needs.  Please call before booking if you are unsure.
  • The workshops will take place come rain or shine. In the case of severe weather that could deem the workshop as dangerous the workshops may be cancelled by Godstone Farm.  Cancelation notices will be posted on the farms social media and website as soon as it is available.  If Godstone Farm cancels the event refunds can be requested through havefun@godstonefarm.co.uk.  Once tickets have been redeemed at the farm only the workshop fee will be refunded.
