We are making improvements!!
As many of you will know the farm has been open for 36 years. We love hearing all your stories of visiting as a child and then bringing your children and are now visiting with your grandchildren and we love seeing your pictures even more!
The farm started out as mainly land with a few buildings and has grown over the years into the farm you see today. Back in the day there was no playbarn, no toilets, no animal handling and absolutely no play equipment so the expansion over the years has been huge.
To enable us to continue to make improvements there are some very boring things that we need to do like install three phase electricity and larger water pipes. This will make sure we always have enough power to have all the lights and heating on in the winter and can power all the catering equipment on super busy days, have better coffee machines and make sure our freezers can always cope with the high demand for yummy ice cream.
We understand there is never a good time to carry out these works but as we are able to keep the farm open for 363 days a year we try to complete all works at the quieter times of the year for minimum disruption and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.
From Monday 14th November work will continue digging trenches to lay the new cables but please be rest assured nothing will be closed but you may need to use alternative routes or entrances. We will do our best to make sure these are clearly marked but please ask a member of the team for directions if needs be.
The work will be ongoing for approximately 3 weeks so please bear with us. We are very excited to have this work completed so we can continue to make all the improvements we want to. If you have any questions please do pop into the shop and ask for the Duty Manager who will be happy to help.
