Barney and Echo

We are fans of anything that supports children in making positive choices to enable them to lead fulfilling and happy lives.

That is why when we were approached by the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain for support of their community initiative, we were more than happy to help.

The Police Community Clubs of Great Britain deliver Citizenship and Personal, Social and Health Education.  They support projects seeking to develop children and young people as active citizens who can make a positive contribution to their communities, what a brilliant and rewarding idea!

They aim to educate children and their carers on numerous subjects relating to the promotion of life skills, increasing self-esteem and the development of motivation in young people.  They have produced some amazing books covering important subjects that will be relevant to many Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children.  Subjects such as bullying, keeping safe on the internet, anti-social behaviour, the environment and the dangers of drugs, tobacco and alcohol are covered in these Barney and Echo books. The books are written in a child friendly way with fun activities, yet still addressing these, and other, sensitive subjects.

We are proud to sponsor some pupils in Godstone Village School for this initiative, which we are sure will help the children to be better equipped to deal with some of the difficulties they may face as they grow up.
