Special events for January and February

We are all mega-excited here at Godstone Farm getting ready for the awesome events we have planned for you over the coming weeks.

On the weekend of the 26th and 27th January we have our Heroes Weekend.  For this weekend all armed services and emergency services personnel can get half price entrance into the farm and WOW do we have some great stuff lined up for you!

Now I’m going to let you in to a little secret, did you know there is such a thing as superhero action training?! Well any superhero worth their superhero title needs to get down to Godstone Farm that weekend to join in the training!  Some of the other fun activities we have organised are discos, superhero crafts, our thrilling ‘minute to win it’ competition, face art and comic strips.

The fun doesn’t stop there!  As we slide into February, the following weekend, 2nd and 3rd February, we will be saying Gung Hey Fat Choy and celebrating the Chinese New Year.  Gung Hey Fat Choy actually means ‘happiness and prosperity’ and what a lovely wish to have for each other!  The Chinese New Year falls on 5th February this year and it is the year of the pig.  With Wiglet, the pig, as our mascot, we decided that celebrating the year of the pig is something we absolutely MUST do this year!

So for the 2nd and 3rd February we have numerous activities in store – we even have top tips for training your dragon – if you are a little bit out of practice – an interactive show with Flame, our friendly farm dragon.  We will also have crafts, tickle a pig (I bet you’ve never done that before!)  and delicious Chinese food in our Tea Room all weekend.

Who likes pizza?  I think that’s most of us! Well in honour of #International pizza day, on the weekend of 9th and 10th February, a variety of different pizzas will be served in the Tea Room – there should be something to please everyone!

For February half term we are introducing Mini Farmer Week.  This is going to be so exciting!  Our farmers have lots of jobs to do over the half term holiday and they would love to enlist your young farmers to help them get the jobs done!  It is going to be a super-busy week, they need to feed the cows, walk the ferrets, milk the goats, groom the ponies and much much more.  This fantastic event will take place from Saturday 16th February until Sunday 24th February.

Of course, as well as all these extra activities we have got organised for you, we still have our wonderful array of animals around the farm and in our Animal Holding area; soft play and café in the huge Playbarn;  Wiglet’s Play Village for younger visitors; the Dino Trail and fun outdoor play areas.  Our Tea Room will be open all day for hot and cold food and beverages and that just leaves a quick trip to our well stocked gift shop for a souvenir of your visit before you go home!

We do hope to see you soon!
