We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer and the kids settle back well in to the new term, whether they are starting a new school or nursery or moving up a year! We wanted to take the opportunity to let you know what’s happening at Godstone Farm this autumn. We’re open until 4.45pm every day, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so we hope to see you here for a fun family day out this autumn!
New buildings
If you’ve visited Godstone Farm lately hopefully you will have seen the awesome progress made on our exciting new buildings! The building work is going very well and the sides of the buildings are starting to go up now. The Playbarn sides are almost completed which is great to see! Our internal contractor will be starting soon, which means the installation of all the internal fixtures and fittings will be underway. This is really exciting as it’s a big step closer to completion. At the moment we are focusing on getting all the pipes and cablings run along which will ensure each building is water-tight ready for the internal work to begin!
If you’re unaware of our plans, we’re really excited to announce that we are in the process of having a new Playbarn, new Gift Shop and Entrance and new Animal Barn being built. You’ll see the construction site as you make your way up to the Top Play Area, please follow the signs and temporary path to access the adventure playground, mini construction zone and sandpits.
Halloween Half Term and Low Bangs Fireworks
We’re looking forward to October half term already! Our event for this Halloween is aptly named Once Upon a Crime and as well as becoming clever detectives in a world of nursery crimes, there will be the opportunity to make wands with Griswalda the witch and then enjoy wand lessons! Godstone Farm’s popular low bangs fireworks event takes place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October. Tickets are strictly pre-bookable via the Godstone Farm website. We are excited to announce that interactive animal activities have been arranged for the month of September, you will be given a welcome leaflet on arrival with full details of what is on each day!
Home Educator Day
Our first Home Educator Day is organised for Thursday 15th September, with the theme Feathered Friends. Our Home Educator Days are popular with limited capacity for each event, some people travel for miles to join us!
Home Educator Days at Godstone Farm are completely interactive with talks available throughout the morning for you and your children to participate in. You then have the afternoon to explore the farm at your leisure. These are only available on specific dates at Godstone Farm and you need to book your place via the Godstone Farm website.
We offer our Home Educators the discounted schools rate, however to be entitled to this rate we ideally require proof of home schooling.
You can book for our September Home Educator Day here https://godstonefarm.digitickets.co.uk/event-tickets/35774?catID=35859
Treks and Trails
Mini Treks and Trails and Tiny Treks and Trails are back for the autumn term. These sessions are interactive and great fun and offer the opportunity to enjoy stories, crafts and messy and sensory play. Once you have pre-booked your visit to Godstone Farm, if you are here on a Treks and Trails day just pop along to Wiglet’s Play Village at 11am and join in the fun! You can find full details of the stories planned, on the events section of the Godstone Farm website.
Animal Experiences
Enjoy an animal experience at any time of the year at Godstone Farm. The only exception to this is our brilliant bee experience which won’t take place over the winter months. Bees completely change their behaviour during the winter months and will all be concentrating on keeping themselves and their queen warm over winter. You can purchase some of our Godstone Farm honey in the Gift Shop, it might make a lovely Christmas present for someone!
News on our magical Father Christmas experience at Godstone Farm will follow soon!
