B is for BRILLIANT DAY OUT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Godstone Farm is the ultimate day out for the whole family, particularly if you love nature and animals. As well as over 500 friendly animals, many of whom you can interact with and get up close to, we’ve got 45 acres of land for you to explore, plus a whole load of play too – both indoor and outdoor. Lots of our visitors spend the whole day here and return again and again!
BEARDED DRAGONS
In the wild, you’ll find bearded dragons in Australia, their natural habitat would typically be warm, dry areas, such as deserts, savannas and subtropical woodlands, however because of their gentle nature, they are sometimes kept as pets.
Bearded dragons are named because of the spiky folds of skin underneath their chin. They are reptiles, which means they are cold blooded, so need a heat source, in the wild they warm themselves in the sun and burrow underground to protect themselves from extreme heat and predators. Bearded dragons (also affectionately known as beardies) lay eggs, rather than giving birth to live young.

PICNIC BARNS – Picnic barns are used for our birthday parties at weekends and during school holidays. On weekdays during term time our schools visitors are able to use them to enjoy their picnic lunches and at times in between the picnic barns are available for our visitors to enjoy their picnics in if they don’t want to eat outside.
ANIMAL INTERACTION BARN – Does what it say on the tin! In the Animal Interaction Barn, you’ll be able to interact with some of our smaller animals, including guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and sometimes Shetland ponies or donkeys. The barn is also home to our ferrets and fancy rats. If you’d like to feed any of the animals in the Animal Interaction Barn, please speak to a member of staff to see if this is possible.
PLAY BARN – Home to our huge soft play main frame, toddler area, baby area, Wiglet’s cafe, role play area and sensory area – a perfect hub for a rainy day!
