F is for FARM, which means we’re talking about the heart and soul of everything we do here at Godstone Farm! From furry residents to friends, fun and fields, there’s lots packed into this weeks blog pot and it all begins with our roots.
First came the FARM!
Godstone Farm has been a favourite spot for families and animals since the very beginning, but did you know that we originally opened our gates just to school visitors! Back in the 1980s the farmers welcomed schools eager to learn all about farming life – meeting the animals, learning where food comes from and experiencing a real working farm up close. Education has always been at our core and those early visits set the stage for the magical place the farm has become today. At Godstone Farm we’re proud to still welcome school and nursery trips, as well as families looking for a fun day out, and these have evolved to include a whole range of activities that can be chosen by the school, depending on what they are learning. Of course we take care of it all so it’s probably one of the most hassle free schools trips to be experienced by teachers and support staff!
FARMER EXPERIENCE
Fast forward to now and we’re proud to offer so much more for our visitors! One truly special extra that you can treat your child to is a Farmer Experience! Budding young farmers can stick on their wellies and get stuck into real farm jobs – feeding the animals, collecting eggs and learning all about how we care for our animals day in, day out. It’s hands-on, sometimes muddy but always completely brilliant!
FUN
Something we can guarantee when you visit Godstone Farm is fun! Whether you’re zooming down the slides in The Play Barn, jumping as high as you can on our Jumping Pillows, meeting our friendly animals or getting creative in the sandpits, there’s something for everyone. Rain or shine, we’ve got adventure on tap and smiles all round!
FRIENDS
Godstone Farm is a place where memories are made and shared experiences bring people together. We love to watch friendships bloom – between kids on a day out, animals and our team and often parents enjoying a coffee whilst the kids are playing. Whether you visit with family, friends or your school or nursery, it’s twice as much fun when you’ve got someone to share it with!
FROGS
It’s not just fluffy, furry and feathered animals who call Godstone Farm home, in our Reptile House you’ll find our fascinating cold-blooded residents – including frogs! This amazing part of the farm is full of unexpected surprises, the perfect place for curious minds to explore something new!
FATHER CHRISTMAS
And finally… the most magical ‘F’ of them all – Father Christmas! Every December Godstone Farm is sprinkled with festive cheer as Father Christmas takes up residence in his cosy grotto. With a Christmas show, Christmas crafts, festive treats and a magical journey to meet Father Christmas himself, it’s an unforgettable experience that brings joy to the whole family – no sleigh required!
