Kate’s Garden
If you’re visiting Godstone Farm with kids who love to get stuck in and make their own fun, Kate’s Garden is the place to be. Tucked away like a little secret world, this wilding play area encourages children to explore nature in the most hands-on way – digging, mixing, building and making memories that will last long after you’ve left the farm.
Kate’s Garden is part of the farm’s commitment to wild play and it’s honestly a breath of fresh air. Forget noisy gadgets, screens and plastic toys – here it’s all about imaginative outdoor play. There’s a mud kitchen for pretend cooking, sandpits for digging and building, wooden houses, tree stumps and a whole load of natural resources to spark creativity and child-led play.
This lovely space is the place for real play – Children can pretend their making cakes out of leaves and grass, open up a pretend cafe with a menu of mud pies and leaf soup – you’ll even find the recipes on the board in front of you!.
We love that Kate’s Garden changes with the seasons – it feels different each time you visit. In summer you can watch the bees buzzing amongst the flowers, in autumn the leaves crunch underfoot and all year round there’s something grounding about letting kids just be kids outside and free to let their imaginations run wild.
Next time you visit Godstone Farm, don’t miss this tucked-away gem – you’ll find our wilding play area just behind the Courtyard area and Courtyard Kitchen restaurant. Let your little one’s go wild in Kate’s Garden, because childhood should be messy, muddy and full of magic!

Kids

Whether they’re meeting animals, exploring the adventure playground, or discovering a new feature in The Play Barn, they’re going to be having a brilliantly fun day! From toddlers to pre-teens, the farm is packed with hands-on experiences that help kids connect with nature, learn through play and just enjoy having fun. It’s wholesome, fresh air farm fun, the kind that leaves them tired, happy and covered in mud, grass or ice cream (sometimes all three!)
Kale
And all the other good stuff growing quietly in our vegetable beds. At Godstone Farm we love a bit of grow-your-own goodness and our beds and greenhouses are full of fresh produce that often finds its way onto plates in the Courtyard Kitchen Restaurant. From kale to carrots, salad leaves to courgettes, our homegrown veggies are nurtured with care and help to teach children (and grown ups!) where real food comes from. Our home grown veg are the freshest you’ll find, with no food miles, just a little saunter down the path!
Learning about food is one of the fantastic interactive activities that schools can choose when booking an exciting school trip to Godstone Farm.
