Halloween and low bangs fireworks at Godstone Farm
We’re excitedly looking forward to October half term. From Saturday 26th October we’ll be hosting our ever popular Halloween event. This year you’ll have the chance to brave the wall and dip your hand into the unknown; there’ll also be Halloween mini golf, meet and greets and other treats, plus pumpkin carving* and marshmallow toasting* (*additional cost.)
Our Low Bang Fireworks event is going to be AMAZING this year, with entertainment from Captain Fantastic, plus a fire display and stilt walker which we know you’re going to love. There will be food and drink available throughout the night, plus a glow stand for all your favourite accessories! The highlight of the event, of course, will be our epic low bangs firework display, beautifully choreographed to music!
Home Educator Days
Our first Home Educator Day of the autumn term took place at Home Ed Base Camp on Tuesday 17th September. The group explored seed dispersal, had fun hiding their own ‘seed’ (actually a carrot) in the field and then, later in the morning, had to live the life of a squirrel and remember where they hid their food. They also discovered what a Harvest Moon is and created their own – we had a lot of fun and always embrace the opportunity for some outside learning. Our next Home Educator Day is on Wednesday 16th October, when we’ll be exploring autumn leaves and trees.
Schools Visits
The Godstone Farm schools package is back for a new term! A farm trip is super exciting for all children and our package is hassle free for teachers as we’ll lead the events and organise your day. All you need to do is book your visit, choose four great activities and make your way to the farm on the day of your visit. We’ve also got some great links to grants available if this would be beneficial to your school https://godstonefarm.co.uk/groups-schools/school-visits/
New for Autumn 2024, we’re delighted to introduce In-School and In-Nursery visits. If it works better, we can come to you! Click here to find out how this works https://godstonefarm.co.uk/groups-schools/in-school-nursery-visits/
Welcome to our new Mangalitsa pigs!
Next time you visit the farm, look out for our new Mangalitsa pigs! Cutely named Pumpkin and Marshmallow, can you guess who’s who? You’ll find them in the main pig enclosures. Mangalitsa pigs are quite distinctive and easily recognised by their curly coats – we think they’re adorable! What do you think?
