Godstone Farm is proud to announce a new partnership with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, a leading charity caring for babies, children and young people with life limiting conditions, and their families, across Surrey and London.
Our amazing events creator Carina and her husband Mike experienced the incredible support of Shooting Star Children’s Hospice when they lost their lovely son Harrison to cancer last year. Now, they’re putting on a fabulous fundraising day at Godstone Farm on Saturday 2nd August, to raise funds for more families going through hardship and loss. £1 from every farm park ticket goes straight to the charity, and we’ll have lots of charity games and extra activities for the kids to enjoy.
Carina’s now back at Godstone Farm and pouring her heart into this event taking place on 2nd August. So please join us in giving support for this amazing fundraiser.
On Saturday 2nd August, we’re hosting a very special charity day in partnership with Shooting Star Children’s Hospice
Visitors can expect a jam-packed day full of special fundraising activities including:
- Livestock Hand Feeding Sessions in the Animal Barn (feed will be available to purchase, with all proceeds going to Shooting Star)Â
- Face Painting – simple, colourful stencil designs for a small donationÂ
- Character Meet & Greets – say hello to the much-loved Dinosaur Roar! characters in our World of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail. Visitors are invited to make a donation when snapping a selfie with their prehistoric pals!Â
- Slime Making Sessions – gooey fun for a good causeÂ
- Paint Your Own Cookie Kits – featuring the Shooting Star logo, available from the Gift Shop and around the farmÂ
- Special Charity Menu Item – enjoy a delicious ice cream sundae (or other themed treat) with profits donated to the charityÂ
- Lucky Dip at the exit – ÂŁ1 per go with all items donated or obsolete stock, meaning 100% goes to Shooting StarÂ
- Charity Tombola – expect fantastic prizes, many of which will be donated by Godstone Farm and local supportersÂ
- And the hero activity of the day? Godstone Farm’s first ever Colour Run! The 1k route can be shortened for little legs. Parents are encouraged to book in advance to secure their child’s place – for the chance to dash through clouds of colour and receive a special medal to celebrate their achievement.Â
Visitors can look out for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices donation posters around the farm, with QR codes linking to the dedicated JustGiving page – giving visitors the chance to support this amazing charity not just on the day, but all year round.
Nicola Henderson, CEO of Godstone Farm comments: “Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a charity very close to the hearts of the team at Godstone Farm. Following heart-wrenching loss, we are determined to show our thanks to the Hospice team and help raise critical funds. Our fun day and Colour Run promises to be an uplifting and unforgettable day, combining all the fun of the farm with an opportunity to support children and families who need it most.”
We really hope you can join us!
