Who else is looking forward to half term? Only two weeks to go and we can’t wait! The farm is being decorated as I write and is looking impressively spooky!
An update about our low bangs fireworks tickets
There are a few remaining early bird tickets available for Friday 29th October 2021. Tickets for Saturday 30th October are now completely sold out. Our low bangs fireworks event is going to be amazing – we have got some awesome prizes lined up for the competitions during our fun pre-show, including but not exclusively, family tickets and brilliant children’s experiences. At the fireworks event we will also have barbecues to keep you fuelled plus pizzas, as well as a licenced bar and a hot chocolate station. Following the pre-show at 5.30pm we anticipate the fireworks show starting at approximately 6.30pm and the refreshments will be available before and after the fireworks.
Don’t forget we have a wicked week full of Halloween fun lined up over half term and if the kids dress up in their best spooky costume they will have the chance to win an on-the-spot prize! There will be character meet and greets; pumpkin painting and carving, a mini horrid walk and a ghost rangers trail. So if you are looking for a fun family day out over half term Godstone Farm is the place to be!
Playbarn
It is now no longer necessary to book a Playbarn slot – the Playbarn (soft play) is included in your entry ticket and you may visit it at any time during your visit. Please note that during busy periods we will be operating 30 minute time slots within our large Indoor Playbarn.
Mini and Tiny Treks and Trails
These fun interactive story time sessions will continue through October with the theme of ‘leaves’ on Friday 15th; Winnie the Witch on Monday 18th and the exciting theme of ‘magic’ on Friday 22nd. These popular sessions include crafts and sensory play and are held inside in a cosy space with activities to capture little ones’ imaginations. This is included in the price of your entry ticket.
Father Christmas Visits
The wonder of Christmas returns to Godstone Farm, with our ever popular visits to see Father Christmas and his friendly Elves in his cosy grotto. Catch the magic in our enchanted woodland walkthrough and let our wondrous story captivate little minds. Do you believe? We certainly do.
Our Father Christmas visits are selling fast; we still have availability at selected time slots in the week running up to Christmas, from Monday 20th until Christmas Eve on Friday 24th December!
SEND Father Christmas Visits
Again this year we have dedicated Father Christmas visits tailored for families with SEND. This event is for SEND Families ONLY and will take place on Tuesday 7th December and Wednesday 8th December 2021.
Our SEND Christmas experience is a family or family bubble, for up to three children per slot. We will have Christmassy lights, but no loud music playing, to create a calm and relaxing, yet stimulating environment, for those that may struggle with a ‘traditional’ Father Christmas visit.
One of our friendly elves will accompany you through our scenic walk-through before meeting Father Christmas himself. Each child will receive a marvellous present of their choice from the elves’ toy shop.
This experience doesn’t include entry to the farm, and is just for our Father Christmas Experience.
Afternoon Tea in December
Afternoon Tea in December will have a festive feel! For example you will be able to enjoy turkey and cranberry sandwiches, mince pies and Christmas cake fingers as part of the package! Enjoy all of this in our cosy restaurant which will be decked out beautifully for the festive season. Afternoon tea is pre-bookable with your entrance ticket.
On the farm!
Godstone Farm in Surrey is the perfect day out for the whole family, come rain or shine. Enjoy exploring the farm trail and don’t forget to pop in to Animal Holding while you are here to get up close to some of our smaller animals. Look out for our new little gang of meerkats at Godstone Farm to – you can find them in their enclosure next to the greenhouses along the farm trail.
Other news
It was recently announced that The World of Dinosaur Roar has been chosen as one of the books for World Book Day 2022. We are delighted that our partners are part of this amazing campaign to encourage children to love reading, PLUS, we are proud that these characters can be brought to life at our farm! Look out for this new book “DINOSAUR ROAR and FRIENDS” in March next year. Well done to author Peter Curtis and our friends Macmillan Publishing and The Natural History Museum for being involved in this worldwide celebration of books and reading. |
We hope to see you soon!
