In School/Nursery Visits

Available October – February term time only.

For £200, a member of our Education team will visit you at your school or nursery, to conduct a 45 minute hands-on and interactive session from 10.15am.

You can choose from one of the following sessions:

  • A Small Animal Interaction Session – this will include a variety of small animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and ducks. This hands-on session will have up to 3 different animals present during the session, where the children will learn more about the animals, including what they eat and how to care for them.
  • Reptile Interaction session – this will include a variety of our reptiles, for example a bearded dragon, tortoise and corn snake. This hands on session will have up 3 different reptiles present during the session, where the children will learn more about our reptiles, what they eat and how to care for them.
  • Role of the Farmer session – this interactive session has a variety of activities, which introduce children to working on the farm and what is involved with looking after animals. No animals are included in this session.

The session will be tailored to the Key Stage of your choice, and each session will include information and worksheets.

 

Additional sessions are available and charged at £50 per session, with a maximum of 3 sessions total per day. Additional sessions will need to be the same interactive session, however we can amend the key stage information for each session. The second session would run from 11.30am and the third session would run from 1.00pm.

What's Included?

Our on-site Education visits include:

  • A visit to your School or Nursery by a member of our Education Team
  • A hands on, interactive 45 minute session, running from 10.15am.
  • Information and hands on activities provided appropriate for the relevant key stage
  • If you book a 2025 School Day visit to the farm within 4 weeks of us visiting, we will honour 2024 prices.

 

Further information:

  • Additional 45 minute sessions are available for £50 each session, with a maximum of 3 sessions a day.
  • Additional sessions need to be the same choice of interactive session, but the Key Stage information can be changed per session.
  • If adding additional sessions, the second session would run from 11.30am, with the third session running from 1.00pm.
  • If the school is within a 10 mile radius of Godstone Farm (RH9 8LX) our travel is included in the price.
    Outside of this radius, additional mileage will be charged at 50p per mile. We may also need to contact you about start times should the travel mean we arrive later than planned.
  • Hand washing facilities must be available.
  • A large room would be required for the sessions.
  • We will require 15 minutes for set up before the session.
  • Maximum of 35 children per session.
  • A supervising adult from the School must be present during each session, to supervisor and manage behaviour.
  • Hand washing facilities with soap and warm water must be available at every session.
  • Each session needs to be held in a space big enough for the animals to be out on the floor. The sessions are only suitable for an indoor environment.
  • A parking space will need to be provided on-site for one vehicle (for Godstone Farm staff.)
  • Invoices will be raised ahead of your visit, and payment is required 10 working days before your visit.
  • Payment must be made before our team will attend.
  • Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Animals are subject to availability.
  • Risk Assessments are available to download.
  • Payment is required 10 working days before your visit. Once a booking has been created, an invoice is then raised with details on how to pay. We do accept card payments, cheques, or a bank transfer. If payment hasn’t been received 10 working days before the visit, a 10% charge will be added to the invoice.
  • In the event you need to cancel this will need to be done at least 10 days prior to your visit if it is after 10 days a 10% admin fee will be applied and the outstanding balance will be issued as a credit note.
  • In the event that Godstone Farm Ltd have to cancel a visit you will be offered either a new date or a full refund.
  • If your school is more than 10 miles away we will be in contact prior to your visit via email to adjust arrival and session times accordingly.
  • If your school is more than 10 miles away from Godstone Farm, you will be charged 50p per mile.
  • Godstone Farm reserve the right to cancel active sessions if they are made to feel uncomfortable or inappropriate language or behaviour is demonstrated. Abuse to our staff will not be tolerated. In the event of this a refund will not be given.
